The player is called the shooter and the game begins when the shooter throws the pair of dice for the first time. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, he wins. The best way to keep the odds in your favor, or at least bring them even, is known as “free odds.” After initially throwing out a point, you then place another bet just beneath the pass line. The big pay-out can come if you make your point again with the new throw. You then get paid twice.
Clearly there is a huge opportunity for winning big when playing craps – but there is also a chance to lose big. This does not have to happen as long as you know what you are doing.
